Studying for HESI A&P
When preparing for the A&P section of the exam, we recommend the following:
- Learn the Basics of Each System: Start with learning the basic structures and functions of each body system. Make sure you truly understand things and not just memorize them.
- Answer Practice Questions: Once you learn the basics, quiz yourself with practice questions. If you do not do well, go back and review.
- Utilize Flashcards: Flashcards are great for the A&P section as they can help you learn key concepts and reinforce important details.

HESI A&P FAQs
There are 30 total questions on the A&P portion of the HESI. However, only 25 are scored. You will not know which questions are unscored.
You will have 25 minutes to complete the math portion of the exam. To keep pace, you will want to spend less than 50 seconds per question.
The A&P section is one of the more challenging sections on the exam. It is challenging because it will test your knowledge on so many different topics and concepts.
A good way to prepare is by using a HESI A2 study guide. Everything you need will be listed in 1, easy to find, place.
